「気韻生動」 東洋絵画における一番重要な要素として、5世紀末から受け継がれてきた言葉です。辞書には「作品が生き生きとして気品が感じられること」と書かれていますが、作品画面だけではなく、それを見た人のこころが生き生きとすることが肝要だと捉えています。
ためらいながらも絵具や箔をかさね、そのゆらぎの果てに、こころが遊ぶ場をつくることができるよう日々描いています。

"KI-IN-SEI-DOU" This term has been handed down since the end of the 5th century as the most important element in oriental painting.
